Teaching

Since fall 2005, Ken Adams has taught, as a lecturer, the first-ever contract-drafting course at one of the U.S.’s top law schools, the University of Pennsylvania Law School, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Before that, he taught contract drafting as an adjunct professor at Hofstra University School of Law, located in Hempstead, New York.

Ken plans to develop, over time, a body of teaching materials that would allow others to incorporate into a contract-drafting course Ken’s rigorous approach to language and format.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT USING ADAMS’S WRITINGS TO TEACH CONTRACT DRAFTING
For many years I have taught an advanced legal writing course to third-year law students at the University of California, Davis. This past two years, I’ve passed along to the students some of the excellent advice Ken Adams provides in his two books on contract drafting. The students find Adams’s advice logical, down-to-earth and extremely helpful in their contract drafting exercises. I am confident they will carry it with them into law practice.
