The MSCD Ebook: I Attempt to Get the Story Straight

[Updated July 19, 2013]

In this recent post I grandly announced that the ebook version of A Manual of Style for Contract Drafting was available on iTunes, but it later transpired that pretty much everything I had to say on the subject was wrong. I don’t hold that against myself or anyone else—when it comes to law books, this ebook thing is still a work in progress.

So here’s the deal:

  • The book was on iTunes, but was then taken down because the sample had to be “rendered” again. But it’s now back up (here).
  • During the brief shining moment that the book was on iTunes, it was available only in the U.S. It should be the case that it’s now available worldwide. That includes you, New Zealand! If that turns out not to be the case, please let me know.
  • I said that the book wouldn’t be available in a Kindle version, but I was mistaken. It will be available in a Kindle version around the time the print version is available on Amazon, which should be in December.

And there you have it!

  1. Ken,

Sorry to hear that you’re experiencing problems with the ebook version.

That’s great news that a Kindle version will be available.

  2. Sadly, still not available in the New Zealand store, Ken; even when I change “us” to “nz” in the URL. (Unless there’s some sort of time delay; who knows).
