“Drafting Clearer Contracts” Training for 2024

I’ve scheduled Drafting Clearer Contracts training for the first half of 2024.

I’m doing the following public series of Drafting Clearer Contracts: Masterclass (eight weekly hourlong sessions, supplemented by reading and quizzes):

  • Masterclass (36), starting Wednesday, 10 January 2024, at 11:00 a.m. ET (US)
  • Masterclass (37), starting Thursday, 11 January 2024, at 0900 Singapore Time
  • Masterclass (38), starting Thursday, 22 February 2024, at 2:00 p.m. ET (US)
  • Masterclass (39), starting Wednesday, 13 March 2024, at 11:00 a.m. (US)
  • Masterclass (40), starting Tuesday, 9 April 2024, at noon ET (US)
  • Masterclass (41), starting Thursday, 2 May 2024, at 11:00 a.m. (US)

Masterclass (37) was scheduled at the request of a client who wanted their Singapore personnel to participate in Masterclass, but it’s open to all. Someone in California has already told me they plan on signing up for that series.

And on 19 and 20 February 2024, starting at 11:00 a.m. (US), I’ll be doing a public Drafting Clearer Contracts presentation (two 3-hour sessions).

Generally, the training has been going well. For example, a big financial institution has just signed up for its second private series of Masterclass. And here’s some feedback from a global company: Regarding the first session (on the front and the back of the contract), my contact said, “I was cracking up a couple times and really enjoyed the session. I think these sessions may be the highlights of our work weeks going forward—something very new and provocative.” Regarding the second session (on the categories of contract language), they said, “Today’s session was outstanding. The split between the ‘lecture’ portion and working through examples was very good. Folks are very engaged.”

And in December I’ll be doing a presentation for a law firm at the bigger end of the BigLaw spectrum. Just another signpost on my slow trek from iconoclast to establishment.
