Five new series of my online course Drafting Clearer Contracts: Masterclass start in January 2021. (Go here for the course home page.) The first session of each of the series begins on these dates and at these times:
- Series (7) (Asia & Middle East Only), Tuesday, 12 January 2021, 19.00 GMT+8 Hong Kong
- Series (8) (UK & Ireland Only), Wednesday, 13 January 2021, noon GMT
- Series (9), Thursday, 14 January 2021, noon ET (US)
- Series (10), Tuesday, 26 January 2021, noon ET US
- Series (11) (Nordic States Only), Thursday, 28 January 2021, 13.00 GMT +1
For the first time, some series will be limited to people who work in specified countries or regions. “Nordic States” refers to Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland. (I’m not inclined to get too caught up in exactly which countries constitute Asia and the Middle East!)
Why do this? For three reasons. First, people based in a given country or region might benefit from a slightly different take on things. For example, UK participants might find more interesting than participants from elsewhere my observations on English contract interpretation. Second, different groups might have different approaches to the live, interactive sessions. And third, it might engender a modest esprit de corps.
If you’re in China, see the second FAQ on the course home page for information about how to pay by company transfer or by local currency.
Masterclass consists of eight live hour-long online sessions held once a week, supplemented by reading, quizzes, and short drafting assignments. It’s intended for individual registrants and for organizations that wish to have a group participate. Sessions for individuals are limited to 20 participants, so everyone has an opportunity to engage. For more information, see the course home page and this blog post, this blog post, this blog post, and this post.
It is amazing that you are tailoring this course for global jurisdictions!
