I’ve Just Scheduled Two Series of “Drafting Clearer Contracts: Masterclass” Starting in September and October 2024

I’ve just scheduled two series of my online course Drafting Clearer Contracts: Masterclass, which is built around eight live hour-long sessions held once a week and supplemented by reading and quizzes.

The first session of one series starts on Thursday, 12 September 2024, at noon ET (US). The first session of the second one starts on Tuesday, 15 October 2024, at 11:00 a.m. ET (US). For more information, go here.

Here are two testimonials from recent participants:

Ken Adams’s Masterclass was incredibly helpful in demystifying contract language. Contract drafting is almost never taught in law school JD programs and most, if not all, lawyers learn contract drafting from simply using law firm precedents and repeating customary and traditional language. Ken’s course was eye-opening in showing us that most of this language is unnecessarily archaic, confusing, and ambiguous, and there is a better, clearer, and simpler way of drafting contracts. At last, I feel like I can understand what contracts are saying and how to draft with intention.

Thank you for the awesome course. The way I think about contract terms has been forever changed, thanks to the many different nuances and insights covered in Masterclass. I will draft clearer contracts in the future. I recommend this course to anyone interested in contract language and drafting.

In this blog post earlier this year, I said, in my bumptious way, that you cannot be an informed consumer of contract language without consulting A Manual of Style for Contract Drafting. The best way to get farther and faster up the MSCD learning curve is Masterclass.

I hope to see some of you there!
